The 52 Project 2014: 21/52

the 52 project2“A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014. My goal for the year: highlight her most recently acquired and/or favorite skill, activity, or milestone, in hopes to document her blossoming personality and mind as well as her physical appearance. ” See my series HERE.

Mia: The first bath in her new “tub”.

I’ve mentioned our ridiculous bath tub before (here) and how bummed I’ve been to not be able to give Mia a proper bath in our home…ESPECIALLY because she loves them so. She showered with Daddy at night and would get the occasional bath at Grandma & Grandpa’s house.

Well when life gives you lemons you make lemonade, right? I guess this is our take on that. Grandma searched high and low for the biggest plastic bin she could find for Mia’s baths and well, she did it. This isn’t your picture perfect bath tub scene, but it’s what works for us. Now Mia can enjoy bath time like she’s always wanted. I have no clue what we’re going to do when she outgrows this thing but I guess we’ll have to cross that bridge when we get there.

There is a plus side to this situation, though. Because of all the extra space around her and her new tub, she can splash all she wants! What kid doesn’t like that? And there’s plenty of room to store her bath toys and lots of space for me to sit and watch and to squat beside her to wash her hair. Luckily, Daddy Dom and I have our own shower in our bedroom, otherwise this setup would be a pain in the butt to move around for our shower use.

These other photos are included so you can get a better view of our new bath routine.
