The 52 Project 2014: 45/52

the 52 project2“A portrait of my daughter, once a week, every week, in 2014. My goal for the year: highlight her most recently acquired and/or favorite skill, activity, or milestone, in hopes to document her blossoming personality and mind as well as her physical appearance. ” See my series HERE.

*Note: I fell behind on the portrait project from last year and I’m playing catch-up. This portrait should have been posted in early November. 7 more portraits to go!*

Mia: This week, Mia began her own little series of “sleep reading” during nap time. Everyday at nap time, she is allowed a stack of books in her bed to read through quietly before falling asleep. I have a video monitor so I’m able to keep an eye out for when she actually falls asleep so that I can enter her room to remove the books from her bed. This was the first time I’ve caught her with a book still in her hands as she sleeps and it hasn’t been the last. I post my photos that capture her “sleep reading” over on my Instagram feed (follow me here). I’ve also found her with other random items in her hand or on her face. She’s definitely a little bookworm and has a love for books. It’s the cutest thing to listen to her “read” them through the monitor, too.

Okay now just for fun, here is the portrait from last year’s week 45 in 2013.
