“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”
As I said on my Instagram feed, if you ever think you’re going crazy, spend a few hours at Venice Beach, CA. The weird and wild were out and even though we’re native to southern California, we did not fit in with the crowd. Actually, I’m very much content with that. This was Mia’s first trip to Venice Beach. I loved watching her and Daddy Dom walk in-sync with each other down the boardwalk. She’s doing so much better with this whole hand-holding thing. She hates being confined or restricted in any way so holding hands in public or when walking near a street has been a struggle. We’re definitely not backing down because consistency is key in enforcing something so necessary for her safety.

Here are some of my favorite “portraits” from week 31 (last week):
These 2 make me wish I were at the beach right now, a face off between between boy and truck, and this glowing afternoon with a play pig. Go give these portraits some love.
