An Announcement (which explains my absence for the last 18 days) & 35/52

*This is also my “portrait a week” for week 35. I’m 2 weeks behind and need to kill a few birds with one stone, here*

As Mia would say, “Ta-daaaaa!”

I’m officially spilling the beans today, at only 9 weeks along in my 2nd pregnancy. I’m due in the beginning of April 2015 and no, we don’t know the sex of the baby yet. We’ll actually be waiting until birth to find out! I’ll be posting all about that at another time. Anyways, some of you may be feeling uneasy that I’m sharing this news before my first trimester is complete but we just can’t hold it in any longer. We’re too excited and also aren’t great at holding in secrets.

I’m keeping this post short and sweet, popping in to say “hi” and to let you know that I’m still alive. I’m pretty sure 18 days is the longest I’ve been away from this space. I’ll definitely get into more detail about how miserable I’ve been for the past few weeks. That’s right, I’ve been feeling downright awful. This pregnancy has pretty much been kicking my ass (much different than my 1st pregnancy) so I’ve hardly even opened up my computer, let alone taken the time to post anything. I’m hoping that I’ll become a little more active over here again, but don’t hold your breath. I’m taking this one very long day at a time.

How cute is that book in the picture, btw? I’m working with ebeanstalk on a review of some of their products and when I was choosing a few toys for them to send to me, I chose this book (way before I was pregnant). We were most definitely trying for another, so I knew this would be a perfect way to share the news once we had conceived. Finally, I can take it out from hiding and read it with Mia.
