20 things I miss the most during pregnancy

Oh, that “glowing”, big, round, expecting belly! Pregnancy truly is amazing, isn’t it? I mean, forget whether or not yours is or was a walk in the park or even a complete nightmare. Just thinking about the process in its entirety leaves me amazed. The fact that I have grown two humans inside me is a miracle and I absolutely feel blessed and lucky to have experienced this…twice. I look at my children everyday and I’m in awe that I {Read More}

Faced with the “Baby Blues,” once again

Preface: What I’m about to share includes some very personal and somewhat disturbing thoughts I had during the first few weeks that followed the birth of both my girls. I realize that I may face some judgement and negative reactions, but I’m opening up anyways, with hopes of assuring other parents who may also be dealing with similar emotions that they are not alone, that they are not crazy (hormones are a bitch) and that these feelings are normal under {Read More}

This year, Easter is 2 days before my due date. We’ve made zero plans for the holiday since there’s a chance we could be in the hospital or have just returned home {Read More}

Mia: They just don’t stop growing up! It’s like each week, she’s ready for something more “big kid”ish. She’s been ready to wear a helmet while riding her “purple bike” for some time now, but I finally found a cheap one (in perfect condition) at a consignment sale last week. It fits her perfectly. Now, she won’t ride her bike without her new helmet. Heck, she even keeps the thing on during regular outside play that doesn’t involve the bike. {Read More}
