Bath time at Grandma’s is so much FUN!

My Mia is almost 14 months old and we have yet to capture any bath tub photos. There’s a good reason for that. We don’t have a bath tub. Well, we do but…it’s the most bizarre tub. It’s shaped like a giant box/cube, it’s below ground level and apparently (according to the landlord) the water heater is not big enough to heat the amount of water it takes to fill this sucker up. See for yourself… I love loved baths {Read More}

Our little sunshine has turned ONE!

          April 27, 2012 was the first day of the rest of my life. That was the day that life, as I  knew it, would never be the same. I brought my little Mia into my world, and what a brighter world it has become because of her. She lights it up with the slightest of ease and I think that’s pretty impressive. This past year has been full of firsts, full of what-the-heck-am-I-doing’s, full of awe, full of pride {Read More}

Santa, Baby

Since we’re also trying to stick to our very strict budget for Christmas gifts this year, we made a few extra to give away to family. Handmade gifts are always a little more personal and special. We bought some round ornaments (on sale) from Michael’s over the weekend for this {Read More}

Making Merry Memories

This was our family’s attempt at taking some real amateur Christmas (notice I did not say “holiday”) photos in our living room this afternoon. Um…this was the hardest task I’ve tried to execute in quite some time. In the film industry, they say never work with kids or animals. Well…we took on both.  There were smiles and there were tears. In between that, there was a wild and clumsy puppy, Rancho, who put up a fight against sitting still and {Read More}

Picture PowWOW!

My friend, Carol, had been wanting to explore some ideas she had been gathering for a little photo shoot for Mia.  Her and I both love taking photos, especially of our little ones.  Of course, I was more than willing to volunteer Mia for some fun with the camera, and my mom joined as well.  We met at a very secluded park in Glendale where Carol had some props set up for Mia’s first photo shoot. Carol was in full {Read More}
