I guess I’ll share this here {what I’ve been up to}

As many of you know, I’m a self proclaimed photographer. I just announced my “business” last year so I’m pretty much a newbie. I don’t spend a lot of time promoting my services (which I totally should and most definitely will…very soon) but I still get hit up for a session ever so often. Like, once in a blue moon.

I do have my first maternity session scheduled for this weekend and I’m stoked. I’ve been waiting for the day to get my hands on a pregnant woman to add to my portfolio. They’re not fast, but tough to get. Not all women are thrilled over the idea of having their picture taken while feeling like a beached whale. I know because that’s how I felt when I was pregnant and completely regret having hardly any photos of my baby bump. Boo.

Anyways, I recently shot my 3rd boudoir photo session. I really do love this type of photography. Since my first session, my editing style has already changed (for the better, I’d say). I don’t have a studio nor do I use professional lighting. I’m a natural light kinda gal (for now, at least). Two out of the three sessions I’ve done have been in my house, and in my bedroom. Relax,  I use clean sheets that are only used for my sessions. And please, you parents out there know (especially those with young kids) that not much is going on between the sheets anyways these days, know what I’m sayin’? So it’s perfectly acceptable to use my room. I prefer it, actually. I have really great lighting in my room, I know exactly when that great lighting hits in my room, the bed is in the middle of the room which allows me to move around it to get different angles and I can move things around how I want. Right now, though, it’s plain. I don’t have curtains but I’m on the lookout for a sheer or lacy set. Something feminine, light and sexy. I also would like to find better sheets! I’m always looking for a cheap sale for a duvet cover/comforter with ruffles maybe, or lace or satin. Again, feminine and sexy.

With what I currently have going on in my room (which is pretty much nothing), here is what my latest session looks like. I’m not going to post the photos here since this is a kid friendly blog, but just CLICK ON THIS LINK RIGHT HERE to be directed to my latest blog post and session on my photography website. And THIS LINK RIGHT HERE will take you to my boudoir gallery where you can find a few more photos from this session and from my first session. I’d love to hear what ya’ll think.
