Mia’s “hooters” ;)

Oh great, am I already an embarrassing and inappropriate mom?  Bad title, I know…but once it popped into my head I just had to use it.  We could all use a giggle or two around here.  Just a couple of photos of some more progress I’ve made in Mia’s nursery.  The entire room isn’t ready yet, which is why I haven’t taken any full room shots.  Little sneak peeks will have to satisfy your curiosity for now.  I’m sure I’ll be working on more additions to the room even after Mia’s born.

The green leaf canopy is a cheap buy from IKEA!  It mounts into the wall…simple installation.  The strawberry and carrot plush toys and veggie themed comforter are also from IKEA.  I found the fabric flowers sticking up along the back side of the bumper at Target for $1 each.

I saw these owl/branch decals on Zulily’s website a few months ago and had to order them.  I love the extra pop of color and the sense of being outdoors that they add to the room.  They were very easy to put up and they can be repositioned without ruining the paint on the wall.  The set came with a big silver moon and a ton of stars, but I’m still thinking over whether or not I want to use them.  They may make things a little too busy.

I saved most of the pretty ribbons that my guests used to tie and decorate Mia’s gifts at my baby shower.  I knew they would come in handy for something…beautifying Mia’s changing table.  Tying a bow with ribbon isn’t anything new or innovative, but I thought I’d share this simple way to add more color or flare to the nursery.

Adding a little girly flare

    • Yay, thank you! So many more ideas…so little time. The most precious touch will be beautiful Mia in there, too :)
