A Portrait A Week: 39/52 {Late! & Happy Birthday}

“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Wow, I’m about a week and a half over due for this here post. Whoops. We’ve been busy.

Also, today is Daddy Dom’s birthday!!! I’ve already woken up early to balloon bomb him in bed and to make French toast, potatoes, bacon and eggs for him before he took off to work. I may have a few more small surprises in store, we’ll see ;)

Happy birthday, dear. Mia and I love you so much. We hope you have a great day and remember, however old you’re turning is totally the new 30!

This photo was taken from a morning at the park. We were actually working on taking pictures for a review on Mia’s outfit, which will be posted sometime soon. It’s a bit big on her but that works out better for us since it’s long sleeved and includes leggings and the weather here in southern California hasn’t quite hit it’s cool side of the pillow yet. Mia will grow into it over the next month or so.

We hit up a new park on this day. Actually, we had been there before but Mia was only a few months old and we were taking some baby photos of her. Remember these? You HAVE to check them out and see how much she’s grown! Anyways, We didn’t walk around or check out the park since Mia wasn’t even able to sit up by herself, let alone explore and play. This was the first time we’ve been here since then and her first time exploring the playground. She climbed up the stairs and flew down the slide with the biggest smile on her face. She loved it and I loved that we were the only ones there.

Here are some of my favorite “portraits” from week 38 (last week):

This feisty flower girl // a foursome photo that should be framed! // sweet hula-hoop innocence

You can find plenty more portraits from last week here
