A Portrait A Week: 40/52 {Late, again}

“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

(17.5 months old)

I’m still trying to play “catch-up” with this portrait a week thingy. This one is a week overdue. Bleh. I’ve been so busy editing photos from my first boudoir style AND newborn photo sessions. Editing can be a very time consuming process, dontcha know. Also, I’ve been working on a GIVEAWAY & review post, which will hopefully be up tomorrow at some point :)

Normally, I don’t post a diptych style portrait of my daughter for this weekly project, but this week I thought this told a better story of her newly acquired skill. Mia, for the past few weeks, has been enjoying her ability to climb up onto couches and onto chairs. She pretty much tests out every chair she comes across. We used to be able to put things she’s not allowed to touch onto our dining room table. We have to find higher and more hidden spots for these things since she can now climb into our dining table chairs and reach almost everything on the table. She even tries climbing on the damn table!

This portrait shows Mia’s first time climbing into this particular chair in our backyard. She gets into it with no problem, but sometimes she’s uneasy about getting down. Here, you can see her asking Mama for some help (insert grunts and whines here). When Mama takes too long (from taking these photos), she gets demanding. That’s what the face on the right is all about.

That’s her Ugh-I-just-can’t-wait-another-second-or-I-just-might-pop face.

Here are some of my favorite “portraits” from week 39 (last week):

bow tie & suspenders = such the gentleman! // a lovely place to rest // that glow and those eyes! // stella’s hands and outfit & that growing bump

You can find plenty more portraits from last week here
