A Portrait A Week: 42/52

Big surprise, late again with this post. It’s a week behind, which is what I feel like in general…usually.

“A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

(17.75 months old)

This may have been our last weekend of hot weather here in southern California, hot enough to sport your birthday suit and play with the hose anyway. I do love moments and afternoons and images like this one, but I’m REALLY hoping for cooler weather very soon. I’m ready for the coats, socks, boots, layers and a lower energy bill and sweat-less walks and trips to the park.

This particular photo was taken in our backyard (with my phone). Mia started out in clothes and shoes but soaked and muddied them up immediately after seizing an opportunity with an unattended hose. I had set it down for a matter of seconds while shampooing the dog. Washing 2 very large dogs while having an almost 18 month old kid running around is quite a task…more like a workout.

Here are some of my favorite “portraits” from week 41 (last week):

this lovely sibling fall photo (btw, I can’t wait until my daughter will be of age when she actually looks and smiles at the camera when I ask!) // this precious mommy/baby closeness // this sweet little big-eyed gal

You can find plenty more portraits from last week here

And don’t forget to…

  1. Thanks for the love! :) Your little one is absolutely adorable.
